Greenlake main floor

One of our more challenging jobs was to take an existing storage room (originally the back porch) on the first floor of a 100-year-old home and turn it into a new bathroom on the first floor. The width of the bathroom was 4’ making clearances for proposed aging in place needs even more challenging. By using every inch available we were able to install accessible doorways, a wall hung sink and toilet and a roomy curbless shower. We repurposed an existing interior door by turning it into a pocket door with new glass inserts for privacy. The existing window in the former exterior wall could not be moved bringing a challenge for a mirror above the sink. The solution was a ‘gimbal’ mirror that swivels bringing flexibility to this space. Overall this bathroom is open, clean and highly functional for the client.
