Kitchen and Living Area Makeover
With a greater ease of hospitality in mind, the clients wanted to open up their living space. The existing load bearing wall and interior wall blocked expansive views of the Puget Sound. By removing the wall and installing a 28’ cedar beam, the clients were able to reclaim their view of the Puget Sound. In the living room a raw post was brought in as a structural element. The clients also needed versatility to create more intimate space and setting to accommodate a variety of guests. Three 54” wide custom-made doors were hung as sliding barn doors, allowing the clients to create these spaces. We designed and built the cabinets and island onsite, collaborating with the clients to determine their unique needs for their kitchen use. All new flooring and paint were the final touches of this remarkable makeover.
